Botanical dyes and lots of love is what make this collaboration between Iorana Lab and Sircus so different.

Our inspiration walked through our door one day during the month of August. A customer came in asking about Sircus’ headwraps which we had on display. She had just won the battle of cancer, and chemotherapy had caused her to lose her hair, so she was looking for an accessory to match her outfit. And she fell in love. She explained to us how difficult it had been to find beautiful and well-priced headwraps since her sensitive skin couldn’t bear all kinds of fabrics. In that very moment, we knew we had to do something.

Thanks to Marcela, the founder of Sircus, we came across what we were looking for: natural materials and botanical dyes to make the headwraps.

Botanical dyes allowed us to put a splash of colour to the headwraps without having to use any chemicals. Pomegranate, turmeric, lavender, and plenty of other natural ingredients were used to bring bland colours into a whole new realm. Soft colours and natural fabric to create beautiful head wraps for those on a quest to put some colour into their day to day outfits.

Iorana was responsible for the campaign’s design and communication through Instagram and in the store, as well as the packaging. Since the units were limited and exclusive, so was the timeframe of the sale: which was from the 16th of October to the 1st of November. We had the opportunity to sell them during Breast Cancer Awareness Day, and a percentage of each sale was directed to Oncolliga, an association that supports those affected by cancer, through accompaniment, psychological help, at-home support, etc.

These headwraps were a socially committed product that allowed us to raise money for Oncolliga and its fight against cancer. And this is the essence of Iorana Lab: functional, beautiful products with social impact.

Handmade face masks made locally and with quality material that supports community projects.

When we started going out on the streets again after the confinement, we needed to be protected and prepared. So we added fun patterns to face masks in order to make our days shine a little brighter.

To do this, we joined forces with Tanana Crafts, which is a brand that puts a lot of care into every product, from the materials to the sewing process. Four different sizes, so we could cater to everyone: from 3-year-old children to adults; and six different patterns to choose from. We also offered exclusive patterns, strengthening Iorana’s Lab essence.

Face masks with two cotton layers with an opening between them, with an additional option for a third one which functions as a filter. They adjust to the shape of the face and come with an elastic band for adjustment.

Iorana was in charge of the communication and promotion through Instagram, as well as managing part of the orders that were coming in. Since this time, the sale couldn’t be done in our store. As you know, this kind of product goes in line with the ones we already have at Iorana, and as such, we do not gain any economic benefit from them.

A percentage of the sales were destined to “Banc dels Aliments”, that created an emergency fund for Covid-19 to give support to those families who had food grants, so they could still receive food during the quarantine.

A small gesture to help in this struggle we have all had to face.

APRIL 2020

Twelve months, twelve artists, twelve illustrations.

The calendars designed by Iorana Lab were created from the collaboration with these illustrators who had space in the store. Every two years we brought together the artists to join forces on a unique and special calendar, where different techniques and styles could be found in one place.

The goal of the calendars was to promote and give visibility to those artists who were working with us at the moment, offering a very exclusive and varied product.

To make this a reality, each artist would provide us with an illustration of their choice and Iorana was responsible for the design and layout of the calendars, as well as of their printing, communication and commercialization. With no cost to the artists, the benefits from the sales were used to cover the expense of the production itself. Thanks to this, the illustrators had another product to offer in the store and a new way for our clients to discover them and their work.

Iorana Lab wants to become a tool to bring the work of our artisans and our clients closer through exclusive products and collaborations.
